Finally taking the plunge and closing the camera knowledge and handling gap. Scary, but when I'm finally able to do it ok, I know the whole process, from writing to shooting to editing (and all the steps in between).

Why am I only know learning that iRealBook Pro [↗] is available for Android?! Yes, I am back - deep inside the practice rabbithole. It's the best!

Any musician who wants to strengthen reading and rhythmic flexibilty needs to know about Rhythmbot [↗] - It's fantastic! I planned to code something very similar over time with my drumtools until I found this and it's better than anything I would ever have come up with. Jamie Howard & JP Bouvet created the best practice tool I've ever seen - for free! The possibilities are endless.

Practice. Quick detour to Berlin for LNP 500 [↗]. Practice more.

Summer means inviting all you friends to a huge barbeque party. And there's only one way to do that right: With your own backyard pit and the sickest live set of drummer/artist/electronic wizard extraordinaire Karl F. Degenhardt aka KITSUNE [↗]. Wilcoxon progress: 49/150.

Recording christmas music in the summer is just wrong. Playing [↗] at the biggest samba festival outside of Rio on the other hand, is very fitting.

Wrote my first speech. It went well. Wilcoxon progress: 40/150.

New small addition to my drum tools: Tap the beat. Speedrunning Charley Wilcoxon's The All American Drummer. More on that in a few weeks. It´s fun! 26/150.

More maps [↗]. More strategies. More Channel 5 [↗]. More communication. No socials. More KIRAC [↗]. More Houellebecq. More pizza. Less rumination. More Haneke [↗]. More obsessions to choose between. 151.367 steps. Move on, there's nothing to see here [↗].

A week in Berlin recharged my social and inspirational batteries. The main attraction was the superb exhibition 'Poetics of Encryption' [↗] at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art [↗]. Incredible works on display and an exceptionally well curated tour through the human-digital relationship and its hidden mechanisms. It is open until May, 26th. Highly recommend a visit!

old_kid is out! [↗] This one-person 3D animated music video was the most complex thing I ever did. Thanks to Calvin Lennig [↗], who was the initiator with his music! Completely unrelated, I discovered the joys of "bunker techno", while coding at night. Recommendations welcome!

Still teaching drums, which led to the development of a speedramp metronome (the app I use [↗], while great, does not have that feature and after enduring a 30s unskippable ad on a speedramp metronome youtube video that instantly killed my practice motivation, I had to do it myself). Dropped out of Genuary [↗], but hope I can resume next month. Winter is seriously messing with my brain.
